With the rapid progress of digital transformation (DX) in recent years, the service models within the travel industry have undergone dramatic changes. The face-to-face counters of travel agencies, which used to be part of our local neighborhoods, are sequentially closing amid a wave of efficiency, shifting the mainstream of reservation operations online.

While this transformation has brought increased convenience, it has also created a hard-to-overlook social issue: isolating segments of the population who are not accustomed to complex operations on smartphones and PCs—so-called "travel reservation refugees." The reality is that many individuals, despite having the time and financial resources, are being deprived of the opportunity to freely enjoy travel due to the disappearance of physical consultation counters.

Our company, HAKUSHIN Travel L.L.C., was established with the mission to build a "new public infrastructure" to bridge this digital divide. We will deploy "unmanned remote terminals" capable of installation in minimal spaces along everyday routes such as supermarkets and commercial facilities within Tokyo.

The core of these terminals lies in highly invisible technology. Simply by lifting the receiver—a familiar analog action for many years—users are directly connected to specialized operators who act seamlessly on their behalf, from arranging flight tickets to making accommodation reservations. We aim to provide the peace of mind of "always being there naturally," just like a corner postbox, and to realize a society where people of all generations can enjoy the freedom of mobility without hesitation and with absolute certainty.
